What do you think Jesus would think about The Secret and the Law of Attraction? How about Hooponopono?
For the next few weeks, we will be discussing this issue on this blog. Did not Jesus say "you can do anything I am doing?" "I came that they might have Life and have it more abundantly?"
I am no theologian, but have been studying spiritual matters for most of my life. I simply do not see any conflict here, and I know my conservative friends feel differently about it. For me, creating imaging pages, practicing the techniques taught in The Secret, using affirmations are just tools to help me to connect with the Christ within me.
How do you feel about this issue?
I welcome your remarks, however, any comments that are offensive or rude will be removed immediately. Let us talk about this like adults. No preaching allowed. This is an adult discussion. We can disagree without harsh conflict. On with the discussion!

Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!
Today is the first day of the rest of my life.
My dad used to have that sign (Today is the first day..) hanging in the kitchen in his home. The older I get, the more aware I am of that fact. Indeed, today is the day -- to accomplish, to be, to love.
I am thankful today for all of the love in my life.

Trash to Treasure
I almost pitched it out. It was a glass jar my husband spotted in the garage of a relative. We brought it home with other family treasures we had been given. For two or three days, I had soaked that jar in bleach and soapy water. Today I decided to take a look at it. It was sparkling and rather interesting. I read the bottom, looked it up on the net, and yes, it is a treasure. My husband is still laughing at me. I had agreed to clean it only after a significant number of deep sighs and moans and groans. I am glad I cleaned it up.
Of course, I am reminded of all the treasures I may have pitched. But I am also thinking that sometimes, when we put in a little effort, our reward is a happy surprise! Something in your life that needs a little extra effort today?? My list is getting longer!

Starting Over -- Again
Life just seems filled with "starting over" projects sometimes. It seems we are forever saying goodbye and hello, doesn't it?
One thing is certain in life and that thing is Change!
So today, as I relaunch my life for the zillionth time, I hope you will join me -- in accepting that change is inevitable, in learning that we grow with each change, and in prayer that my changes are for the better.
Have a happy Friday! And if something is holding you back, give it up, make a change, and move on. The world is full of wonderful things! Don't you think?

My Little Flashlight
I am writing my first e-books. What a learning experience! Every time I think I have the first one ready, I find out I must learn something new. When I started, I read an uplifting article that said you could walk across the USA in the dark with just a flashlight -- going a few steps at a time. So I mentally grabbed a flashlight and told myself that I would take this project one step at a time. Each day I try to move forward with things I know to do. Sometimes I seem to receive Divine Inspiration on what to write. Sometimes I receive an e-mail or a phone call that gives me the next step. On other days, I will receive encouragement to continue. And somehow it is happening. Most of the time I feel really in the dark about what I am doing, and yet........my little flashlight keeps leading the way. I am learning. I am growing. It is an adventure! My first free e-book should be available within a week or two. You will also be noticing some changes in this blog -- we may even change location. So be aware!
and if you have an "impossible" task ahead of you, I'll be glad to share my flashlight!
